Melineze Christie is currently an Occupational Therapist at Anneke de Jager Occupational Therapy.
Melineze qualified with her Occupational Therapy degree at the University of Witwatersrand in 2016. She completed her community service in Lenasia, Gauteng.
Melineze joined private practice in 2018, mainly focusing on paediatrics. She has extensive experience working with children who have down syndrome, cerebral palsy, genetic conditions, developmental delays and learning difficulties.
Melineze is very passionate about providing quality care to every child that she treats. She works very closely with speech therapists, optometrists, play therapists and physiotherapists to develop programmes that will help children succeed both academically, and in their everyday life.
Melineze uses her strong understanding of a child’s needs and how their minds work to assist in minimising their weaknesses while heightening their strengths. Since Melineze is left-handed herself, she is empathetic to how certain physical restraints can affect people’s lives.
Melineze is currently completing her Ayres’ Sensory Integration qualification, so she can gain more skills to provide exceptional care for her patients.
